Do you think ISPs that sell bandwidth to third parties have the right to "shape" that bandwidth? 92% say "No".

In a recent poll conducted by The Globe & Mail (retrieved on April 13 2008), when asked the question:

"Third party Internet providers are up in arms because of a new Bell high-speed Internet policy that slows service to some of their customers.
Do you think ISPs that sell bandwidth to third parties have the right to "shape" that bandwidth?"

92% of respondents replied "NO". Bell's newly implemented policy of "traffic shaping" (or "throttling"), which limits bandwidth available to paying customers, is proving to be an unpopular choice.
