The developing platform of Google TV

Google and Intel are teaming up with Sony and planning to create Google TV, which will bring the Internet into your living room. People will be able to use this through new television sets and set-top boxes.

Google TV is expected to allow people to browse web applications easily from their television set. Other TV boxes allow limited online browsing, Google will open its platform -- it'll be based on their Android operating system. "The company hopes the move will spur the same outpouring of creativity that consumers have seen in applications for cellphones."

Google TV could possibly appear in the summer so keep your eyes peeled and ears open. The software of Google TV will be open source, meaning that device and TV makers will have full access to it.
