TV shows in a different form, different medium

According to 839 Canadians in the Interactive Reid Report, citizens are spending over 18 hours a week on the net.

Canadians are watching more television online now. The cost of cable is rising therefore people are going to the Internet for their entertainment needs. Mark Laver, the associate vice president of Ipsos Reid, said, "We're watching television in a different form in a different medium. Some of that increase in Internet usage is coming from people watching shows online."

Last year, Canadians spent 14.9 hours a week online. Usage of newspapers, magazines and radio have relatively stayed the same.
