Steve Anderson Speaks on Behalf of Openmedia.ca at 'Making Media Public' Conference

In early May of this year, York University held a conference entitled "Making Media Public: Global Crises, Local Opportunities." Academic, activists, media makers, and society groups were a few of those in attendance at the public conference.

Steve Anderson, national coordinator for Openmedia.ca, had the opportunity to make a presentation to attendees during the two-day event. Anderson commented on the large opportunity for media makers in Canada amidst the current corporate media crisis, as well as educated the audience on Openmedia.ca's current campaign efforts involving net neutrality, Al Jazeera English, and Fresh Media.
