As we continue our sustainer drive, OpenMedia.ca has partnered with This Magazine and our network member Briarpatch to be able to offer free full-year subscriptions to monthly sustainers who give $10 or more. Like many of our network members, Briarpatch is fiercely independent, providing a thoughtful and principled alternative to corporate media from its home in Regina, Saskatchewan. One of OpenMedia.ca's greatest strengths is our national network approach — we bring organizations that value community-centered media together in order to unite and amplify our voices at the federal level.

Becoming a sustainer also gets you free entry to our events, including our Fresh Media salons on reimagining journalism and media, coming up this fall in Vancouver. Contact us if you'd like to bring more OpenMedia.ca events to your own city.

If you would like to receive a tax receipt, you can also donate to our charitable arm, the Media Democracy Project, which is responsible for our crucial public education work, including the youth-led workshop series on opening the Internet that we run in high schools and universities. Don't forget to select $10 monthly if you want to receive all the benefits of becoming a sustainer!

Sustainers also receive an exclusive newsletter and regular updates from the national office about our advocacy work. Our goal is to find just 40 new sustainers of OpenMedia.ca over the next month. You can make it possible for us to expand and better represent our network, bring our Fresh Media salons to other cities, continue our youth-led education work, and do all the other crucial activities on net neutrality, digital strategy and access to new and diverse media that have made OpenMedia.ca a unique, vibrant and active presence in Canada's media landscape.
