What Canada Needs

As we strive to cure the economic and environmental crises that have taken a turn for the worse, we need digital infrastructure and a media system that ensures we have the information, choice, innovation and free expression that drive positive social change. Yet big media and telecommunications companies are determined to regain the gatekeeper status they enjoyed before the rise of the Internet.

The fact is that there is no other organization in Canada working to ensure Canada has an open, accessible, diverse, and innovative media system. Fundamentally, we work to educate, engage and empower citizens to defend and advance their communication interests, values and rights, creating this digital immune system in the process.
