Journalist, Francine Pelletier, on democracy and the state of Canadian documentaries

Below is a video of journalist Francine Pelletier, which Friends of Canadian Broadcasting posted. Pelletier spoke at the Dalton Camp Award ceremony where Friends of Canadian Broadcasting awarded two journalists for their essays on the link between democratic values and the media in Canada.

Pelletier, who is a documentary filmmaker and former co-host of CBC's The Fifth Estate, spoke on democracy and the state of Canadian documentaries at the gathering. She speaks in French for the first bit but switches to English three minutes in.
