“America’s Got Net” video competition on net neutrality
Open Internet Coalition is hosting a net neutrality YouTube video competition. Participants in the “America’s Got Net” video contest need to submit their video by August 15, explaining how the Internet has empowered them and emphasizing the importance of net neutrality.
The submissions will be judged by prominent figures of the online industry, such as Craig Newmark, founder of Craigslist; Susan Crawford, former Special Assistant for Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy for the Obama Administration; Jolie O’Dell of Mashable; and Personal Democracy Forum founders Andrew Rasiej and Micah Sifry.
The winners of the competition could win prizes including a VIP trip to Washington, D.C. to meet with key policymakers, Google Nexus One Phone, one year of Skype Unlimited World Calling, Slingbox PRO-HD, and Amazon’s eBook reader, the Kindle DX.
Small business and non-profit winners could win free advertising and event opportunities as well as the chance to be featured in an Open Internet Coalition ad campaign.
